So evidently, this blogging thing is the thing to do so we decided to jump on the blogging train and join the 21st century. I plan to frequently update all you in cyberspace with the happenings and goings on in Bechtold Land including updates and photos of the cutest Bechtold member, Zoe. As a disclaimer I feel I must add that neither Zach or I are the best typers or writers so I hope we don't offend any of you with what's to be certain several grammar and spelling mistakes.
So, as an intro let me fill some of you in on whats going on with us, especially for any of you that may not know the details of our lives. I (Mikel) am working part time at the Law Office. I work three days a week and am able to stay home with Zoe two days a week. I wish I got to spend more time with her but we are unable to do that right now. Zach is enjoying his relatively new job as Minister of Activities and Technology at First United Methodist Church. Since he is a full time employee at the church we do get free day care so that's a tremendous plus. We also both still work with the youth assisting Pastor Travis Bennett. It's an understatement to say that we spend an incredible amount of time at the church.
Zoe is almost 15 months old and a little bundle of energy and with the attention span of her father. She's a pistol but she's a true blessing. Her favorite things include running all about, puppies, books (but only for a minute), eating (everything but green beans), sleeping and swimming. We are blessed to have a great family that enjoys spending time with her. I'm glad that she is going to grow up knowing her extended family. Not everybody gets that luxury.
Anyway, I guess I've droned on long enough for now. Check back often if you wish for more updates and photos. I would also love to hear from anyone else so drop a line anytime!!
Love to all,
The Bechtold Family
Here's a picture of Zoe intently watching what Granddad and Uncle Charles were doing.
Later that same day she got to go swimming with Weazer and Riley at Henriette and Alvin's. It was a big day.
