Holidays

Hello all! I've really fallen behind on this blogging thing. I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving. We had a great holiday despite Zoe getting over being ill. We are gearing up for Christmas and are excited about Zoe experiencing more of the Holiday this year. She is still trying to figure out the Christmas Tree but loves it. She doesn't want to touch it but she loves to look at it. Okay, now for pitcures. I'll attach pictures of Thanksgiving and the following days.
Riley and Zoe coloring before Thanksgiving lunch. He's such a good Riley.
Zoe with Aunt Donice and Cousin Aubrey. They had a good time playing together.
Zoe got to play Ms. Pac-Man at Grams and Granddads. She was pretty good actually.
Zoe and Aunt Kelly were dancing while we put up Weazers Christmas tree.

Halloween and such..

Hey guys! Well November is here and it's hard to believe that Thanksgiving is just around the corner. This is one of my favorite time of the year. I LOVE Thanksgiving. We had a good Halloween. We went trick or treating with our friends the Schricks and their little one Abby. Abby is two weeks younger than Zoe so they make good friends. I add some pictures of the cute little ones. Tomorrow Zach and our friend Travis leave for Comic Con in Dallas. We kid them about being dorks but I know they will have tons of fun. We have been busy with HOPE, the after school program at church. It's a real blessing to see how these kids are being positively affected. Okay, that's all I have time for right now. Peace.

Zoe and Grandmommy.

Fall is here!!

Hey guys! I hope everyone is doing well! We have been great and busy as usual. We had a great weekend. It started off Friday. I was hope sick and Zach got to be my substitute. He seemed to enjoy himself and I appreciate the fact that now he knows what my days are like. He's such a great husband. Saturday we had Karate and then went to Grams and Granddads to see their new baby donkey. Zoe enjoyed seeing the baby. Then we went and watched our "Aunt" Erin march in the Plainview Marching Festival. She and the rest of the band did a great job. I'll attach some pictures for you to enjoy.

Here's Zach and Zoe. Zoe is doing one of her new favorite activity which is flashing her belly. Zach hopes she grows out of it very soon.

Granddad is allowed to get close to the new donkey, only one day old in this picture. So cute.

Zoe enjoyed it.

Zoe loved watching the band and hearing the music.

So things are still super busy but life is good. Zoe is so much fun and even though I work more and we have more stuff going on I feel like we are spending more quality time as a family. I'm adding more photos some from my birthday that was at the end of August and some of Zoe last week at the church in Zach's office.

Long time no blog...

Well, I've been at the new job for a few weeks now and whew, am I exhausted!! I can't complain too much though, it's soooo much better than the old job. Zach is busy at his job, currently planning for the Hard Open of the new building and working on a Golf Tourney. Zoe is good, growing like crazy and driving us crazy at times. She has had to adjust to going to day care every day but I think we are finally getting used to our new schedule. I had some pictures to add but could not get the camera to work. Stupid technology. Thanks for reading, The Bechtold Three.

Actual News to Report!

A lot has happened this past week that I would like to share with you. First, I got a new job! Yeah and praise God for that! It all happened so quickly that my head is still kinda spinning. For those of you who don't know I am working at College Hill Elementary as a Special Education Aide. I get to work with the wonderful Lisa Bailey. Lisa is the mother of one my absolute favorite youth kids, Erin, and it was she that contacted me about this opening. That was Thursday, I applied, interviewed and received the job Friday. Saturday Zach and I went to Lake Kemp with the Youth for a lake trip and Ranger game. We got back Sunday around 5:30. Man I am tired and sore. This morning I had the assembly at the high school and then went in at 1:00 for training. I think I am really going to like it but am really ready for the kids to come. School starts next Monday. God is GOOD people!! Anywho, I'll attach a couple of pictures from this weekend.
Zach and I at the game. Rangers won!!!
Zach and I at Lake Kemp! Wonderful weather, wonderful company!!

Nothing new news

Hello all! Well we have been busy doing nothing and I haven't had much to blog about. However I do have some pictures to share.
Last Thursday night we went to Zach's parents house. Here's Zoe playing outside with Grams.
Zach gave Maggie a bath and a hair cut later which Zoe found fascinating.
Then we found the wagon and had to try it out.
On Friday Zoe had a very enjoyable lunch of pasta and was so cute I had to take a picture.
Later we had a great time putting on and wearing Daddy's Rockies Hat.
I have more pictures to add but must go for now. My Monday Night Walking Group is arriving!!

Golfing

Yesterday we went golfing. It was...interesting?? No, it wasn't too bad but for the life of me I can not imagine why anyone would choose to spend 4 1/2 hours in the hot sun hitting a little ball around. I guess I will never be a golfer. We went to the Tulia Country Club. What an experience that was. I mainly drove around the golf cart which was fun. Our friends Nathan and Ashlee Loewen and Zach and Brittaney Shrick went with us. Zoe stayed with my parents were they must of filled her full of sugar and crack because she was soooo hyper and refused to go to bed until 10:00! Here are a few pictures of our golfing day:

Here's my swing. Notice the ball still on the tee? Yeah, I'm so not good.

The girls: Me, Ashlee and Brittaney.
The boys: Zach, Zach and Nathan.

Park

It's a great blessing that Zach and I both have Fridays off together, especially since we work most of the day Sunday. Today we decided to take our lunch to the park and play a while. We didn't stay too long because it was a scorcher and Zoe was needing her nap. But here are a few pics that I enjoy.
Here is Zoe eating her lunch. She's such a good eater.

Here is Zoe looking at a puppy that was hanging around.

Here's Zoe just hanging out. ( Sorry couldn't help it!)

This Blogging Thing...

So evidently, this blogging thing is the thing to do so we decided to jump on the blogging train and join the 21st century. I plan to frequently update all you in cyberspace with the happenings and goings on in Bechtold Land including updates and photos of the cutest Bechtold member, Zoe. As a disclaimer I feel I must add that neither Zach or I are the best typers or writers so I hope we don't offend any of you with what's to be certain several grammar and spelling mistakes.

So, as an intro let me fill some of you in on whats going on with us, especially for any of you that may not know the details of our lives. I (Mikel) am working part time at the Law Office. I work three days a week and am able to stay home with Zoe two days a week. I wish I got to spend more time with her but we are unable to do that right now. Zach is enjoying his relatively new job as Minister of Activities and Technology at First United Methodist Church. Since he is a full time employee at the church we do get free day care so that's a tremendous plus. We also both still work with the youth assisting Pastor Travis Bennett. It's an understatement to say that we spend an incredible amount of time at the church.

Zoe is almost 15 months old and a little bundle of energy and with the attention span of her father. She's a pistol but she's a true blessing. Her favorite things include running all about, puppies, books (but only for a minute), eating (everything but green beans), sleeping and swimming. We are blessed to have a great family that enjoys spending time with her. I'm glad that she is going to grow up knowing her extended family. Not everybody gets that luxury.

Anyway, I guess I've droned on long enough for now. Check back often if you wish for more updates and photos. I would also love to hear from anyone else so drop a line anytime!!

Love to all,

The Bechtold Family

Here's a picture of Zoe intently watching what Granddad and Uncle Charles were doing.

Later that same day she got to go swimming with Weazer and Riley at Henriette and Alvin's. It was a big day.
